1. About Us

These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and to all products and services supplied by Quatro Tiles Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By using our website, placing an order, or booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Scope of these terms

These Terms apply to:

  • Tile products
  • Ancillary products (including adhesives, grout, trims, sealants, and related materials)
  • Installation services
  • Design guidance and advisory services

Additional terms may apply to specific services and will be confirmed prior to commencement.

3. Products – Tiles & Ancillaries

3.1 Product Information

  • Images, samples, descriptions, and showroom displays are provided as a guide only.
  • Tiles may be supplied from limited stock or ordered specifically from our suppliers. Unless confirmed in writing, tiles should be treated as special-order items.
  • Ancillary products must be selected in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and installer guidance.

4. Product Characteristics

  • Tiles are produced in batches and variation in colour, tone, pattern, surface texture, and edge detail is a natural and expected characteristic.
  • Ceramic and porcelain tiles may display variation designed to create depth and movement.
  • Natural and handmade materials (including stone, marble, limestone, terracotta) inherently vary in veining, shading, markings, texture, size, and colour. These characteristics do not represent defects.
  • Customers should inspect all products prior to installation. We will not normally accept claims for visible variation or issues that were apparent before fixing.
  • We cannot guarantee future availability of the same batch.

5. Orders, Quantities & Wastage

  • Quantities are based on measurements provided by the customer or their installer.
  • We recommend allowing approximately 10% additional material for wastage, cuts, and pattern matching.
  • We are not responsible for shortages resulting from insufficient quantities being ordered.

6. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are in GBP and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Full payment is required before products are ordered, dispatched, or services scheduled.
  • Once tiles are ordered from suppliers, orders become non-cancellable except where required by law.

7. Delivery

  • Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by factors beyond our control.
  • Delivery may be carried out by us or third-party couriers.
  • Kerbside Delivery
    • All deliveries are kerbside only
    • Drivers are not required to move goods beyond the vehicle
    • Adequate access must be provided
  • Additional charges may apply for failed deliveries.

8. Inspection & Damage Claims

  • Deliveries should be inspected as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Any visible damage or shortages should be reported within 3 working days where reasonably possible.
  • For larger orders (typically over 50m²), an extended period may be allowed where:
    • Goods remain in the original delivery position
    • Photographic evidence confirms damage in situ
  • Tiles that have been moved, unpacked, or installed may not be eligible for replacement.

9. Returns

  • We take great care to ensure all products supplied meet high standards.
  • Due to batch consistency and shade variation, we only accept returns of the full original order quantity of a specific tile.
  • Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery or collection.
  • Returned goods must:
    • Be in full, unopened boxes
    • Be in resaleable condition
    • Match the original batch
    • Be returned by the customer
  • Opened boxes, loose tiles, bespoke, special-order, clearance, or discontinued items are non-returnable.
  • Handling or administrative charges may apply.
  • This returns policy applies to non-faulty goods only and does not affect your statutory rights.

10. Installation Services

  • Installation services are provided based on site conditions and customer-provided information.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring site readiness and suitable substrates.
  • We are not responsible for delays or additional costs due to site conditions or third-party works.
  • We will not normally accept liability for pre-existing structural or substrate defects.

11. Design Guidance

  • Design guidance is provided for advisory purposes only.
  • This may include layout suggestions, product combinations, and visual guidance.
  • It does not constitute professional design or technical advice.
  • Final responsibility remains with the customer and/or their appointed professionals.
  • We will not normally accept liability for outcomes arising from design guidance.

12. Measurement Service

  • Measurements are provided as guidance only.
  • Final responsibility for verifying measurements and quantities remains with the customer or installer.

13. Consumer Cancellation Rights (Distance Selling)

  • Your Right to Cancel
    • If you are purchasing as a consumer online or at a distance, you may have the right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
  • Exempt Goods
    • This right does not apply to:
      • Tiles ordered to specification (including quantity, batch, or finish)
      • Special-order, bespoke, or made-to-order items
    • Once such goods have been ordered, cancellation is not possible.
  • Ancillary Products
    • Standard ancillary products may be cancelled within 14 days if unused and in resaleable condition. Return costs are the customer’s responsibility.
  • Services
    • If services begin within the cooling-off period, you may be charged for work completed
    • Once fully completed, cancellation rights no longer apply

14. Ownership & Risk

  • Risk passes to the customer upon delivery.
  • Ownership remains with us until full payment is received.

15. Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the value of goods or services supplied, except where liability cannot be limited or excluded by law.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including delays or installation costs.
